Nick Marsh aids England’s quest for Euro medals in Sweden

HUDDERSFIELD’S Nick Marsh fired rounds of 72 and 74 around Halmstad GC in Sweden to help ensure England will compete for medals in the European Amateur Team Championship.

The England amateur champion is part of a six-man team which will take on Ireland as they seek to progress through the match play stage in the hope of striking gold.

Marsh carded seven birdies during the course of the two rounds and on each day was one of England’s five counting scores as they placed seventh from the stroke play, from which eight teams progressed.
