Yorkshire trio seek change of fortunes
As it stands, not one of the trio of Simon Dyson, Richard Finch and John Parry is in a position to finish in the top 115 and retain his card for next season, with Dyson – twice a top-10 finisher on the Order of Merit – down in 175th position.
The 35-year-old from Malton, who was in the world’s top 50 a year ago, has not finished higher than 52nd in his six tournaments this campaign.

Hide AdFinch, 35, from Hull, has made the cut just three times in nine outings, with his best form coming in Africa. He sits 146th on the money list.
Harrogate’s Parry is the higher-placed of the trio in 138th, and on his return to the continent’s elite circuit after a year on the Challenge Tour, merely getting into the top 115 at the end of the season will be a good return for him.
The 26-year-old finished 17th at the Africa Open two months ago, but has only made the cut on two other occasions.
One strong week could change the landscape considerably for any of the trio, with this week’s Spanish Open – headlined by Ryder Cup star Sergio Garcia – carrying a top prize of £214,590.
