Hearns finds backer for China Open
SNOOKER: World Snooker yesterday announced their third tournament sponsorship deal since Barry Hearn took over as chairman.
The China Open, beginning on March 29, will be backed by Sanyuan Foods.
Hearn, who succeeded Sir Rodney Walker in December, has succeeded in attracting financial backing for each of the tournaments since then, with betting firms signing up to sponsor the Masters and Welsh Open.
Hearn said: “Very quickly, we’ve moved from a position of struggling for sponsors, to having one on board for all but one of our televised professional tournaments.”
