Hereford axe falls on ex-Tykes boss Davey

Hereford: Simon Davey has been sacked as manager following the club's poor start to the season.

Former Barnsley boss Davey leaves the club bottom of League Two having only picked up one win in their opening 10 games, scoring just four goals in the process.

Assistant Andy Fensome also leaves Edgar Street after Saturday‘s 2-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Barnet.

Davey only took the reins in July, coinciding with a change in ownership at Edgar Street, but Hereford have not won since the opening day of the season.

They have yet to win at home this term and have conceded 20 goals in their 10 league games.
