Meanwhile, bookmakers say the gamble on Irish challenger Baie Des Iles is continuing to gather momentum as Katie Walsh – sister of dual National-winning jockey Ruby Walsh – attempts to become the first female rider to win the world famous Aintree race. The horse is trained by her husband Ross O’Sullivan.

Two other female riders will attempt to make racing history – Bryony Forst, who partners Milansbar, and Rachael Blackmore on Alpha Des Obeaux.
