Laugher reaches World Championship diving final
Yorkshire’s double world junior champion Jack Laugher has qualified in 11th for tomorrow’s final of the 3m springboard at the FINA World Championships in Shanghai.
The 16-year-old from Harrogate, one of six City of Leeds club divers in the British 11-person team, produced a consistent series of dives to finish with 436.60 points.
He Chong edged out Chinese countryman Qin Kai by just 0.25pts to qualify first with, Ilya Zakharov in third.
