Laugher’s delight at Shanghai debut
DIVING: Harrogate teenager Jack Laugher is to make his World Championship debut in Shanghai next month.
The British 3m springboard champion and double world junior gold medallist joins Tom Daley and six more divers from Yorkshire clubs in the 11-strong team.
“I am really excited about going to the worlds,” said City of Leeds diver Laugher. “It is such a great feeling to know that I will be competing in such a high calibre event. I have worked really hard to get onto the team and this year I have improved on all of my performances.”
Joining Laugher are Nick Robinson-Baker (City of Sheffield) Sarah Barrow, Alicia Blagg, Jenny Cowen, Rebecca Gallantree and Hannah Starling (City of Leeds).
