Leeds Carnegie’s Thompson to join Wasps
Steve Thompson is to leave Leeds Carnegie and join Premiership rivals Wasps at the end of the rugby union season.
The England hooker, who has won 66 caps, is understood to have signed a three-year deal with the London club.
Thompson, 32, joined Leeds last summer from French club Brive and will sign off with the Yorkshire club after their final game at Northampton on Saturday, when nothing short of a draw will give them any chance of surviving in the Premiership.
