Leeds United poised to pinch Ipswich's Bruce from under noses of Sheffield United

IPSWICH have accepted bids for Jonathan Stead, Alex Bruce and Owen Garvan, with defender Bruce bound for Leeds United

Striker Stead is wanted by more than one club - including Barclays Premier League newcomers Blackpool - defender Bruce is in talks with fellow npower Championship side Leeds while midfielder Garvan could be on his way to Crystal Palace.

Sheffield United had been looking at Bruce, who was once on loan at their cross-city rivals Wednesday, but Ipswich manager Roy Keane said: "A fee has been accepted for all three and we have given them permission to talk to the clubs, it's up to the players now to agree a deal."

Keane also revealed he will know within the next 48 hours whether talks with Sunderland goalkeeper Marton Fulop have been successful. The Hungary international spent the end of last season on loan at Manchester City.

Keane added: "I want to bring in another keeper and we've been talking to Marton. I think he wants to come but there are things to sort out and he is one of two targets we have."
