Lincoln City V Bradford City: Taylor concern over window of opportunity

City have had a hugely disappointing first half of the season and are 16th, five points off the relegation places and six points adfrift of the top seven.

Taylor is hoping to freshen up his squad now the window has re-opened but admits defeats like Tuesday's 4-0 hammering at Cheltenham have not helped his case with joint chairmen Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes.

He said: "I told the players how important the game was. They probably didn't know why. But my thinking was that I wanted a good result to get us closer to those play-offs. All of a sudden that puts me into a much better position to try and keep players as well as with the budget."

Taylor has seven players whose loan stays or short-term contracts come to an end after Monday's game against Bury.

City's postponed fixture against Chesterfield at home has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 22.
