Mount Logan’s profile fits for tilt at November Handicap

Things finally came together for Jamaican Bolt at Doncaster last month, with Geoff Oldroyd’s charge and William Buick fancied to double up in the Betfred Supporting Jack Berry House Handicap.

The six-year-old son of Pivotal is not a straightforward customer as he is often at his best under death-or-glory tactics from off the pace.

This trait has arguably cost him more victories in his career, but Buick timed things beautifully in a six-furlong handicap a fortnight ago.

Melrose Abbey can claim a nice bit of black type by winning the Betfred TV EBF Stallions Breeding Winners Gillies Fillies’ Stakes.

Standing Ovation is much higher in the weights for his repeat bid.
