Recharged Dan Linfoot keen to get back on track with British Superbikes
The season had been due to begin in April but was swiftly cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic but the new calendar will now feature six triple-header events, totalling 18 championship rounds, starting at Donington Park on August 7-9 before moving to Snetterton later in the month (August 21-23).
The title fight will then move to Silverstone on September 4-6 with Oulton Park hosting the fourth event of the season on September 18-20.

“It’s lovely to know when we will be back doing what we love,” said Linfoot. “I think this is the best possible solution with the time remaining – to squeeze in as many realistic races as possible between August to season end, without making the events too close.
“It’s been refreshing to have a prolonged period of time without thinking too much about bike racing and the pressure of results, but I feel recharged to be thinking about going racing again.
“Clearly we have a shorter season, and a slight change to the way the weekends are going to be run.

It is yet to be announced whether spectators will be allowed to attend the six triple-header weekends, but BSB series director Stuart Higgs said he is hopeful they will be able to welcome some fans.
