Otley 12 Rosslyn Park 16: Otley fail to make early control count

Otley remain fourth from bottom after this defeat.

Despite having to make five changes, Otley had control for the first 20 minutes with Joel Gill having a fine game at scrum-half and James Kleinhorst in great attacking form at full-back.

Kleinhorst broke through but lacked support, Curtis Wilson cut inside to be tackled in front of the posts but, with two men unmarked, the pass was forward.

They finally scored after Park prop Brett Williams was sin-binned for a high tackle, Kleinhorst taking a pass to race down the wing, centre Ben Hough converting.

Park fly-half Ross Laidlaw kicked two penalties, the second when fly-half Jervis Manupen was yellow-carded for a high tackle.

Laidlaw sliced through and converting before kicking his third penalty.

With 10 minutes remaining, Wilson went close before Manupenu chipped and re-gathered from his 22 before chipping ahead for replacement winger James Twomey, who picked up on halfway to beat off three tacklers to score the final try for Otley.
