Otley 25 Redruth 14: Superb Otley grab vital win
Their defence was almost watertight, Redruth having to settle for just three penalties despite long periods of pressure which only yielded a try when it was too late. They were a strong, lively, outfit and would have fared better had full-back James Keinhorst not been on top of his game, pulling off three wonderful try saving tackles.
The first score came on 11 minutes, a pick-up at a scrum by No 8 Ollie Stedman set scrum-half Stephen Depledge on a darting run before releasing winger James Twomey. He raced away and when tackled, released for prop Chris Hamill to finish off, fly-half Jervis Manupenu converting.

Hide AdFly-half Aaron Penberthy kicked a penalty for Redruth, but Manupenu replied in kind to establish a 10-3 half-time advantage.
Securing the re-start, lock Dallas Pawley got the ball to Twomey and from there great inter-passing between Depledge and Robert Afoa-Peterson saw the No 6 crash over just 33 seconds after the restart.
Penberthy added a second penalty but from a drive at a scrum on the home 22 the ball went blind-side to Curtis Wilson and the winger's extreme pace did the rest.
From another powerful raid Redruth had to be content with a third penalty before Otley claimed a fourth try and with it a priceless bonus point when sub Peter Tennet went over.
The visitors, who began the day just a place and two points below Otley, rallied well, sub Sean Hawkey grabbing a late try but they could not get near a bonus point.
