Racing greats to turn out in force

A host of well-known names will be back in the saddle tomorrow to compete in the Fudge And Smudge Leger Legends Classified Stakes at Doncaster.

Sixteen horses will go to post for the one-mile contest, each ridden by a former jockey as racing's past greats raise funds for the Northern Racing College and a Jack Berry-inspired rehabilitation centre for injured jockeys.

Multiple champion John Francome rides Archie Rice for trainer Tom Keddy and another National Hunt great Steve Smith-Eccles gets the leg up on the Mark Tompkins-trained Kinsya.
