Roebuck’s second gold lands him triple entry

Joe Roebuck secured his second gold medal of the British Gas Swimming Championships, and his third Olympic qualification standard.

The Rotherham swimmer, who won the gold in the 200m butterfly earlier in the week, added the 200m individual medley title to his collection finishing the race in a new personal best time of 1.58.16.

“Once before I had a triple British Champs gold and this time it was two golds and silver but the fact that they all went for Olympic qualification means this was definitely the best of my career,” said Roebuck.
