Bulls in charge but Dockers work hard

Skirlaugh Bulls remain top in the Hull Premier Division, although they were made to work hard by Hull Dockers A.

James Higginbotham's brace made the score look more flattering. James Tindall and Tom Saltmer ran in singles and Ross Kemp landed three out of four conversions. Dockers' Craig McNee crossed the whitewash, Rich Robinson goaling to make it 22-6.

West Hull did a demolition job on beleaguered East Hull, with Tony Tognola running in five tries.

Liam East (3), Dale Pattinson (2), Sam Cowan, Luke Birnie, Paul Kirby, Oscar Ellerwater also went over while Shane Carter kicked nine goals in a 74-4 triumph.

Last season's triple winners Bransholme Dales are not relinquishing their trophies without a fight. Hull Wyke fought boldly, but the Dales' star man Matty Hall dictated play scoring a try himself before Craig Skelton (2), Mike Beecher, Anth Rhodes, Lee Brayshaw all went over the line. Callum Preston kicked seven goals with Ryan Turner adding another two.

Wyke responded with tries from Gary Calcutt, Gary Chatfield and Chris Peachy (2), with Alec Hardie Jr kicking three goals but it ended 46-20 to the Dales.

In Division One, Lambwath Lions kept their promotion push alive with a hard-fought win at Haworth Park, who were leading 16 – 12 at half-time through tries from Steve Haswell, Chris Armstrong and Mike Shaw, although tries from Lambwath's Joel Freer and James Landen – both goaled by Craig Godfrey – kept Lambwath in the fray.

Steve Jarvis, Dave Robson (2) and James Abel went over for the visitors after the break, and although Haworth's Billy Hutchinson replied with a try of his own, Lambwath prevailed 30-20.
