An Easter success, at the height of their financial woe, initiated a turn around in fortunes on and off the pitch.

Mick Potter’s side have now only been defeated once in their previous five outings to fire hopes of a play-off push.

They face the Rhinos again at Magic Weekend and assistant coach Francis Cummins said: “We have the chance to do the double over Leeds. That’s great motivation for the club and fans.

“They were very pleased with what we did on Good Friday but we want to do that again and prove it was no fluke.

“We feel we are perhaps a little underestimated in some quarters and we have to go round things maybe a little differently to such as Leeds.

“But we know that the desire is there from the players and they have shown that over the past few weeks.

“They’ll be ready to go out and ruffle feathers again.”

Bradford, who sit in seventh a point above their struggling opponents, are augmented by the return of Brett Kearney, Adrian Purtell and John Bateman causing an unlikely selection problem for the Odsal coaching staff.

Cummins admitted: “For the first time for what seems like 18 months Mick, Lee (St Hilaire) and myself are in a situation where we are now looking at options for selection in many positions.

“We’ve had to juggle, make do, see people play out of position and they have done a good job for us.

“Whilst that has been great it’ll be nice to get some fit people back and look at just about our best 17.”

Unfortunate Tom Olbison and Shaun Ainscough make way as does Jamie Langley who injured an Achilles in the 20-20 draw at Salford.

After Monday’s defeat against St Helens, Leeds are in danger of a third successive league loss.

But Cummins, a legendary former player and assistant at Headingley, warned: “You are always wary of a backlash against them especially if people write them off.

“They have a great history of doing that.”
