Doncaster 20 Hunslet Hawks 30 - Doncaster go close but Hunslet prevail
Loose forward Rob Lunt gave the visitors a shock when he charged over for Doncaster's first try in the sixth minute.
Sean Leaf also touched down for Doncaster and it needed a double dose of good fortune to help Hunslet level in the 16th minute. Paul March's hopeful punt bounced unkindly for Doncaster and resulted in Wayne Pryce being awarded a try.

But Doncaster bounced back with a well-worked try from Dean Colton in the 32nd minute following a terrific run by Leaf.
Mark and Wayne McHugh added a couple of disputed tries to make it 20-8 to Hunslet at the interval and Doncaster looked to be up against it when Leaf was forced off through injury early in the second half.
Paul March cashed in with a couple of tries but Doncaster stormed back with converted touchdowns from Liam Crawley and Lunt. Hunslet had Charlie Wabo and Paul March sin-binned in the closing stages and hung on on at the finish as Doncaster had two tries disallowed.
