Forward Ryan Boyle can see a bright future for ‘organised’ Doncaster RLFC
Admittedly, the South Yorkshire outfit is currently in Betfred League 1 and, therefore, still some way off the elite.

Hide AdHowever, under the coaching of former Hull FC and Great Britain half-back Richard Horne, along with enthusiastic chief executive Carl Hall and the excellent facilities at Keepmoat Stadium, ambitious Doncaster clearly has plenty going for it.
Granted, they have not been in the top division since a brief dabble during the pre-summer era days of 1994-95.
But Boyle, the former Castleford Tigers and Salford Red Devils forward now in his third campaign there since joining from Halifax, likes what he currently sees.

“Carl Hall’s been there through it all while all this (coronavirus) has been going on.
“He’s really supportive but everything that’s done is very professional like when it comes to the administration of things.

Hide Ad“For instance, your wage slips are always there available within a matter of days of being paid.
“At most clubs, you can be waiting months for that. It might only be a small thing but it all helps.”
The season was only two games old when the global pandemic called a halt to proceedings last month.

Hide AdDoncaster lost their opener 32-22 against Barrow Raiders but then vanquished West Wales Raiders 50-10.
Boyle, 32, added: “We’ve got a good squad together this year.
“We’ve made some great signings with Ross Peltier coming in from Bradford and Sam Smeaton as well while Rangi (Chase) is still here, too.

Hide Ad“Once we’re out of this league, there’s real scope to do something.
“We’d need to bed ourselves into the Championship first and foremost; I wouldn’t want to do what Toronto have done and just go up and up.
“It’d be important to develop in the Championship but there is real potential here.”
