Hide AdAfter a penalty for a high shot by Marc Sneyd on Shannon McDonnell, Blake Green’s inside pass was taken at pace by Constantine Mika, who powered over. Michael Dobson kicked the conversion.
Immediately after the introduction of Scott Taylor and Lincoln Withers, Rovers took the lead. Dobson sent Green over and Dobson’s conversion made it 12-10.
But Ben Gledhill stretched over from another penalty. Holdsworth converted and Salford led 16-12.

Hide AdWithers’s 40/20 kick in the first minute of the second half was turned into four points when Hall went over. Dobson’s extras meant Rovers led 18-16.
But two tries in three minutes put Salford in command. Williams’s second try was followed by one from Moon.
Rovers reduced the deficit to two points, Dobson sliding over in the corner but his conversion attempt drifted wide.
