Kaighan ensures that York are overcome

Scott Kaighan scored 16 points as Workington edged out York City Knights 32-22.

An early score from Kaighan was followed by tries from Jarrad Stack, Liam Finch, Darren King and Neil Frazer to give York a commanding 30-6 lead at half-time.

Lee Waterman completed a hat-trick of scores for the visitors, but Kaighan had the final word as he kicked his fifth goal of the afternoon in the final minute.

Swinton claimed their first win scoring 10 tries in a 52-16 win at London Skolars.

Sam Reay bagged a hat-trick and team-mate Gavin Dodd scored two.
