Keighley Cougars 26 Toulouse Olympique 35: Wynn inflicts deep wounds on Cougars

Scrum-half Nathan Wynn inspired Toulouse Olympique to advance at Keighley's expense.

Cougars' coach Barry Eaton up lamented: "We are not playing with our heads. At this level, to give teams too much of the ball is not acceptable."

The home defence was broken when they fumbled Nathan Wynn's grubber kick on the line, allowing Sebastian Planas to pounce. Nathan Wynn goaled.

Sylvain Houles then intercept ed Danny Jones's pass and released Clement Bienes who scored, Wynn again converting.

Cougars responded and Ryan Benjafield crashed over from close range before Tom Burton shot in from 10 metres out.

However, Nathan Wynn penalty extended the visitors' narrow lead.

Rory Bromley coughed up the ball 15 metres from his own line and Presley kicked it forward before picking it up for a try which Jones goalled to level.

Yohan Tyserre gave Toulouse the lead again as he bulldozed his way over just before the break.

At the start of the second half first blood went to the Cougars, George Rayner going in from 20 metres out for a try goaled by Jones.

However, control of the game was soon back with Toulouse, Planas going over for this second and then Nathan Wynn crossing for a try which he converted.

Presley, created the Cougars' fifth try, Andy Shickell forcing his way over, Jones adding the goal.

The result was wrapped up with a few minutes to go as Bromley ran 80 metres to the line after receiving the ball from the scrum. Nathan Wynn landed the goal and then went on to drop a goal a minute later.
