Quality management brings results
Bishop Burton College farm near Beverley has seen scanning improvements in its 650-strong Texel x Lleyn and Mule flock for the second consecutive year.
Scanning this year has seen an increase in twin-bearing ewes from 59 per cent in 2008 to 70 per cent.
Farm manager Dominic Naylor, pictured with some of the flock, puts this increase down to stringent management in the run up to tupping.
Mr Naylor said: "We find that quality management is critical to guarantee performance."
