Rinaldi set for Trinity debut

NEW Wakefield signing Julien Rinaldi will make his debut against former club Catalans Dragons tomorrow.

The former Harlequins and France hooker, who made three Super League appearances for the Wildcats in 2002 and had a brief spell at Bradford last season, yesterday joined on a month's loan from Villeneuve where he is player-coach.

Wakefield chief John Kear said: "We've been playing players out of position so we felt, with the balance of the squad, something had to be done."

Castleford's England centre Michael Shenton could be back in action in a little over a fortnight after it emerged the knee injury he suffered against Catalans on Tuesday is not as bad as first feared while Bradford's own international centre, Paul Sykes, has signed a new three-year deal at Odsal.
