The full-back gets his chance against Wigan Warriors due to Jordan Tansey’s calf injury.

Australian Dorn, 32, was a revelation last term, scoring 19 tries in 24 games, including a dramatic late winner against Wigan at Wheldon Road.

It is hoped he can quickly bring more of the same as Castleford seek their first victory of the year at the fourth attempt.

Powell said: “It is a great opportunity for Dorny. He’s had a bit of an injury, but has looked really sharp in training recently and I’m looking forward to seeing how he slots back into the team.

“I think he’ll be great for us. He was last year – quick, athletic and a great voice within the team so it’s brilliant to have him back.”

Castleford have also lost Denny Solomona from the side that fell 21-14 at St Helens so James Clare might get a shot, and Ashley Gibson is named in the 19-man squad for the first time since pulling a hamstring in the opening game versus Wakefield.

Prop Steve Crossley also returns with a fitness doubt hanging over Andy Lynch while Scott Moore is suspended and Michael Channing omitted.

Huddersfield Giants’ head coach Paul Anderson makes just one change to his squad for tomorrow’s visit from Widnes Vikings as they, too, look for their elusive first points.

Full-back Scott Grix, who has been on dual-registration with Oldham so far this year, comes in to replace Jodie Broughton.

Wakefield are without Australian Scott Anderson for two months due to a knee injury, but fellow prop Mickael Simon and back-row Matty Ashurst return for tomorrow’s arrival of champions St Helens.
