A show season to remember

The Fort family have had a memorable season with Welsh sheep from West Yorkshire. Two generations of Forts run Lleyns from Whitley Head, Steeton – parents Graham and Mandy and their children, Beverley, 26, and Terry, 24.

Between them, they showed the supreme champion at three of the Lleyn shows they have attended in 2010 and the reserve at a fourth.

They also sold a shearling ram for 5,000 – and bought a new one for 3,600 guineas. The picture shows this year's crop of shearling rams at the start of the season, before moving on to the show and sale circuit.
