St Helens 4 Huddersfield Giants 40: Brown suffers against old club Giants
Amassing seven tries, it was a near perfect display and particularly sweet for coach Paul Anderson up against his former Giants boss Nathan Brown.
Huddersfield were slick and purposeful from the off with sorry Saints having no answer to their power and creativity.

Hide AdIt would be difficult to pick out one star performer given the quality of the entire Giants squad but Shaun Lunt - back from his loan at Leeds Rhinos - was a massive influence at hooker while Danny Brough was similarly classy until departing with a groin injury early in the second half.
His side were already in full command by then, so dominant in defence that Saints could hardly get near their line while being so sharp with the ball in hand.
Leroy Cudjoe (2), Luke George, Larne Patrick, Lunt, Jermaine McGillvary and the excellent Brett Ferres were the try-scorers with the only down side being Brough’s injury and seeing their line finally breached by Mark Flanagan in the 75th minute.
Brown was sacked by Giants last July after their form nosedived and his assistant Anderson stepped up to take control.
On this form, they have made obvious improvements, proving far more direct, but Huddersfield are notoriously fast starters; how they finish the season is when Anderson’s true impact will be assessed.
