Student of year receives prize

Helmsley young farmer Philip Dunn, centre, has been named the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers Student of the Year.

Mr Dunn, a final year student at the University of Newcastle, was awarded a 1,000 cash prize by Dairy Crest and the university received 500 towards a dairying educational project.

Mr Dunn is planning to manage his family's 193-acre tenanted unit at Helmsley in North Yorkshire after leaving university.

He said: "My objective is to build a successful, sustainable business."
