BRADFORD CITY have signed Rotherham United striker David Ball on a season-long loan deal, after the Football League today ratified a deal whose paperwork was lodged shortly before last Friday's deadline.

The 28-year-old’s capture is a boost for the Bantams, who have endured a poor start to the season under new head coach Michael Collins.

Ball played 33 times for the Millers last season as the club won promotion from League One.

He started in the play-off final against Shrewsbury Town.

He said: “I know the division very well and i hope to add to the great deal of quality we already have here.”
