Survival the priority, not my own future, says Barnsley's Jose Morais

Should the Reds win at Pride Park their Championship safety will be guaranteed. But if they lose or draw and other results go against them, they will be relegated after two seasons back in the second tier.

On his future, Morais, who signed an 18-month deal when he took over in mid-February, said: “I don’t have any indicators about this. I do not think it is the moment to speak because the focus is in something different.

“Now, I am not thinking about myself. I expect life to go on after the last game. Let’s see what happens.”

Morais is refusing to rule out the prospect of one or two possible changes in Sunday’s crunch game, despite acknowledging that sticking with the starting line-up who excelled against Brentford last weekend would make for an easy decision.

Morais said: “You know more or less that a winning team is a winning team. There is no intention to touch too much.

“But it is always possible to change something with what we can expect from the opponent. Without revealing everything that I will do, it is possible that I will make probably make one or two changes.”

The Reds have just one injury casualty in Lloyd Isgrove, with Adam Jackson fit again.
