Ticket demand is doubled for Barnsley's final match

The Reds, whose hopes of staving off the drop were massively enhanced after Saturday’s priceless 2-0 home win over Brentford, have requested a further allocation of around 1,300 tickets for the trip to Pride Park.

They are due to arrive at Oakwell this afternoon with the club to announce details of when they will be available to purchase.

An initial allocation of 1,400 tickets has already been purchased by Reds supporters, whose side moved out of the relegation positions thanks to Saturday’s dramatic events, and the new batch are also expected to be snapped up.

The Reds are ahead of third-from-bottom Burton Albion on a vastly superior goal difference and a point clear of second-from-bottom Bolton Wanderers going into the final day.

A win at Derby would guarantee Barnsley’s Championship survival with their fate being in their own hands thanks to the defeat of Brentford.
