Scoot Around is still breaking the records five years on
The record has stood for five years and the horse is now 11-years-old.
Owned and trained by the Fell family from Settle, the well named Scoot Around has won more than 50,000 racing solely in Great Britain.

Hide AdHe was driven by Alan Haythornthwaite and this was his fifth British record-breaking drive. There is more racing at the York track, near Nun Monkton, on Saturday and on July 24.
DEB Eastwood's home-bred Shire horse, Clover, won the Ridden Heavy Horse class at the East of England show, ridden by Gail Carmichael.
"It was unfortunately only a small class but several of the local shows, including Arthington and Weeton, are now putting on ridden heavy horse classes, hopefully raising the profile and awareness of the capabilities and potential of the heavy horse under saddle," said Deb, who lives at Nostell, near Wakefield.
SAD news from Wetherby breeder Rosemary Search, who says her mare, Jungle Bee, has been put down at 20. Jungle Bee's offspring – Opposition Buzz, Bee Diplomatic and The Bees Knees V have all proved very successful.
