Siddal eye Challenge Cup upset at sorry Doncaster

HALIFAX side Siddal will fancy their chances of causing an upset more than any other amateur club when they face troubled Doncaster in the Carnegie Challenge Cup third round this afternoon.

The National Conference champions know Doncaster are on the worst run in professional rugby league having lost 21 games since their last victory against Sheffield Eagles nearly a year ago and a fourth-round tie with a Super League club potentially awaits the victors.

Siddal should also be boosted by a large travelling support at the Keepmoat Stadium; Doncaster accepted their request to have the game brought forward 24 hours to allow floating fans to watch their match as well as tomorrow's tie between Halifax and Ovenden.
