St Helens 60 Bradford Bulls 12: Bradford are ripped apart as woeful run extends

It was a bitter-sweet evening for Saints coach Mick Potter whose current employers, led by Jamie Foster's personal haul of 24 points, emphatically dispatched his future ones – the Bulls slumping to their 12th Super League defeat in a row.

With just four minutes on the clock Ade Gardner crossed for the game's opener, the powerful Francis Meli engineering the initial break.

A second score arrived just two minutes later when James Graham produced an instinctive pass for Scott Moore to go in just to the left of the sticks.

Both the opening scores came on the back of penalties and a third, in the 11th minute, saw Moore find Kyle Eastmond, who meandered across a static Bulls defence and hit Jon Wilkin with a great pass which allowed the second-row to go over.

Foster converted both before Eastmond and Matt Gidley combined to sweep the ball over to the right for him to go over for a 19th-minute try.

Six minutes later, James Roby went over for a try converted by Foster before Eastmond got in on the act just before the half-time hooter.

In the 52nd minute, Jonny Lomax scorched through a hole in the leaky Bulls defence, before Matty Ashurst broke down the right three minutes later to put more points on the board for the hosts. Foster converted both.

A Tony Puletua try followed before Wilkin powered over for his second try, converted by Foster.

Rikki Sheriffe squeezed over in the corner and Michael Worrincy climbed over for two late consolations, but Gidley fed Foster for another at the finish.
