Storming on at top

Yorkshire Three

Roundhegians underlined their dominance with a 61-0 rout at Old Otliensians to strengthen their position at the top. They are four points and more than 200 score points clear of second-placed Old Rishworthians.

Bramley Phoenix, despite having had two league points docked, are still third after a hard fought 24-22 home win over Wath on Dearne.

After Wath had gone ahead with an early try by second-row Richard Hill, Bramley scored three first-half tries through forwards Adam Oliver and Jay Pickard and centre Johnny Moore.

Wath came back with further tries from forwards Huw Jones, Simon Lines and Tom Swift, but Ashley Rothery was given a difficult task with the conversions and the visitors just failed to close the gap.

Old Modernians turned in one of their best performances of the season to hand fourth-placed Thornensians a 23-7 beating at Leeds.

Modernians went ahead with a penalty and a try but Thorne closed with a pushover try by No 8 Lee Linsdell, converted by Alex Swann.

Scrum-half Chris Everton, winger Alex Hatt and No 8 Adam Welch were Modernians' try scorers, with Sam Frazer kicking the points.
