RETIRED jockey John Reid knows what it takes to win the Ladbrokes St Leger - he was first past the post in 1998 aboard Nedawi.

As final preparations are made for the 2014 St Leger which takes place at Doncaster on Saturday, Reid offers this amazing insight into the challenges that will face the jockeys on Town Moor.

Using cutting-edge technology with three different camera angles, Reid talks through the characteristics of the Town Moor course, judging the pace and having a horse that’s blessed with stamina and the ability to quicken to the finish line.
