Wath on Dearne strengthened their lead with a 92-0 home victory over Hessle.

Flanker Steve Wesson, scrum-half Josh Bird, fly-half Martin Bray, winger Brett Small and No 8 Matthew Burrows ran in two tries each and winger Ben Keen also scored a try as well as landing 11 of the 14 conversions.

With second-placed Goole losing 24-19 at Baildon, Wath are 12 points clear at the top and Baildon are level on league points with Goole.

Rotherham Phoenix ran in five tries on their way to a 29-0 home victory over Old Modernians.

Substitute flanker Andy Stewart scored two of Rotherham's tries, and there were others from wingers John Bunclarke and John Saddington and centre Owen Swift.

Thornensians also scored a five-point win when they beat Northallerton 31-7. Winger Brett Hunt ran in a hat-trick of tries.
