Wath's nap hand takes them clear

Yorkshire three: Wath on Dearne extended their points lead over Goole when they ran in five tries on their way to a 29-19 victory at Thornensians.

Thorne had twice taken the lead with early penalties by stand-off Tom Holt, and Wath led only 10-9 at half-time through unconverted tries by No 8 Matthew Burrows and winger Dale Jackson.

Centre Steve Mason, scrum-half Joe Bartlett and second-row Simon Butterworth scored for Wath in the second half, two converted by Burrows, to Thorne's tries by hooker Scott Berry and Holt.

Second-placed Goole won 20-7 at Hessle but were denied a bonus point.

Aireborough beat Halifax Vandals 29-6 with a five-try victory to notch up their third win in four games.

Second-row Liam Godley scored two tries, while others came from No 8 Sam Mackie, full-back Steven Nolson and winger Will Marlow, while Nick Holdsworth kicked two conversions.
