Wharfedale and Otley start planning
Yorkshire Cup winners Wharfedale – now under the guidance of former Leeds prop Tommy McGee – have announced three pre-season friendlies ahead of their National One campaign.
They begin against Stirling County at home on Saturday, August 7, before travelling to Preston Grasshoppers two weeks later, and concluding their schedule with a home date with Kendal on August 28.
Their National One rivals Otley – who begin pre-season training on July 1 – will play Bradford and Bingley in a warm-up match on Saturday, August 7.
Championship side Doncaster will visit Cross Green a week later.
