Winger earns extended stay at Oakwell

PORTUGUESE winger Filipe Teixeria has extended his loan stay with Barnsley until the end of the season.

Teixeira initially joined on a one-month deal from West Bromwich but has impressed manager Mark Robins and is out of contract in the summer.

On-loan striker Jay Rodriguez is set to return to Burnley after completing his loan spell following today’s game. Although the 20-year-old scored on his debut against Preston at the beginning of the month, he has started only one of Barnsley’s last six games.

Robins must decide whether to stick with an unchanged side after the win at Cardiff City.

On-loan Ryan Shotton is available after serving a four-game ban and Icelander Emil Halfredsson has recovered from injury.

Robins says former Reds target Scottish midfielder Charlie Adam presents a big threat today.
