Wings of Desire's Knavesmire triumph inspires Gosden to race colt in the Derby

JOHN Gosden has supplemented Wings Of Desire for the Epsom Derby this Saturday following the lightly-raced colt's win in York's Dante Stakes.

A total of 18 remain in the premier Classic after Red Verdon, Cloth Of Stars and Humphrey Bogart were also added to the field at a cost of £75,000 each at the confirmation stage.

Aidan O’Brien, whose sequence of three consecutive Derby triumphs was ended last year, has seven left in the race, headed by Chester Vase scorer US Army Ranger.
