Emaraaty Ana is likely to follow the path of Kevin Ryan's three previous Gimcrack Stakes winners by going for the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.

Ryan successfully targeted Amadeus Wolf in 2005 and Astaire (2013) after they had lifted York’s premier juvenile event, while Blaine was the only one to fail when unplaced in 2012.

Now, Emaraaty Ana could bid to put his name on the Group One roll of honour on September 29.

“He’s come out of the Gimcrack really well, so I think the obvious route is probably the Middle Park,” Ryan told At The Races.

“It’s a route I’ve taken with my Gimcrack winners before and it gives him a nice time to freshen up. The likely plan is to go there.”

Another big York winner set to dine at the top table is Phoenix Of Spain, with Charlie Hills considering the Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes at the Curragh on September 16.

After opening his account at the second attempt at Wolverhampton in July, the Lope De Vega colt took a step up to Group Three level in his stride when landing the Acomb Stakes on the Knavesmire.

Phoenix Of Spain holds an entry in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday week, where he could clash with Too Darn Hot.

However, a trip to Ireland on the same weekend has emerged as a possible alternative.

Hills said: “He’s come out of York very well. He’s put the weight back on, so he’ll do a couple of pieces of work this week and then we’ll decide where we’re going next.”
