Hide AdThe golfing year at The Bradford GC was officially launched on Saturday when the club captain Peter Tuff teed-off on the customary venue of the 11th hole.
At exactly 12.45pm, in the club's 125th year, immediate past captain George Pye invited the 117th captain of The Bradford Golf Club to drive off using the club's ceremonial ball.
The drive in was sandwiched by two shotgun starts to a three-man team event, two scores to count - one start at 8.30am and the other at 1pm.
Matt Skelton, Paul Mason and Carl Procter took first place with an excellent score of 84pts, just good enough to relegate Ahmed Al-Hariri, Richard Taylor and Paul Ayre to runners-up spot, a point back.

All four of the top teams teed-off after the morning start, while in the afternoon section Steve Thomas had cause to celebrate after scoring a hole in one with a sweetly struck eight-iron on the third hole.
Bridlington GC raised almost £1,700 for captain Jim Howbridge's charities, including Sport Relief, courtesy of Golf Challenges and a charity auction.
Howbridge allowed himself to be waxed live in the clubhouse after all committee members agreed to donate £20 each.
