“We at the YLCGA think it is great publicity for the sport that we all know and love. Please help us by casting your vote; it will only take two minutes of your time.”

People can vote for th eladies of Moortown by visiting the web site www.yorkshirechoiceawards.co.uk, clicking on the sporting achievement category and choosing Moortown Ladies.

“Thank you for your support.”

Rogerson’s year as captain began with Moortown winning the North Leeds Ladies Golf Association’s winter foursomes trophy.

The Leeds Evening League title followed as did three YLCGA competitions – the A and B team finals and Scratch Division 2 qualifier - the latter earning them the Sue Johnson Trophy and promotion into Division 1.

“We can’t recall a season like this,” said Rogerson. “In 2014 we won the A team final, but we can’t remember the last success with the B team.”
