Yorkshire sign Aussie paceman for Twenty20

YORKSHIRE have signed Australian paceman Clint McKay as their second overseas player for this year's Friends Provident Twenty20 competition.

McKay joins South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs in the Yorkshire line-up as the county target their first appearance in a Twenty20 finals day.

McKay, 27, was a key member of Victoria's triumphant Sheffield Shield side in 2008-9, taking 33 wickets at 21.42.

He picked up his maiden five-wicket haul and collected 3-35 in the final, while also grabbing 12 FR Cup wickets at 34.58.

He was picked for Australia A's home series against Pakistan A in 2009 and starred in the first unofficial Test, grabbing a career-best 6-75 and taking eight wickets in the match.

He has played one Test - against West Indies in 2009 - and 10 one-day internatonals.
