Art of chef Juan Martinez on show in Yorkshire Dales

Paintings by North Yorkshire-based chef turned artist Juan Martinez have gone on show at a Dales auction house.

Mr Martinez, a former restaurateur, of Middleham, has ten of his paintings on show on the cafe walls at Tennants Garden Rooms in Leyburn.

He says: “I am passionate about figurative and abstract contemporary art.

“My paintings don’t just exist, they are real and they represent who I am and what I feel. They are examples of my own interpretation and creation which emanate a sense of freedom and expression.”
