The steam trawler Remillo, which arrived in Grimsby yesterday from fishing voyage in the Bay of Biscay, had five sturgeon in her catch, the largest which weighed about six stones.

The Huddersfield Royal Infirmary Rose Day, held on Friday and Saturday last week, realised £714 which is £55 more than last year.

Mr. E. S. Atkinson, of Morley, was yesterday appointed head master of Churwell Council School, and Mr. J. G. Mason, Manchester, head master of Victoria Road Council School, Morley.

At meeting of the Middlesbrough Education Committee yesterday, Mr. J. Wesley Brown was elected vice-chairman. Mr. W. J. Williams, Director of Education, stated that the Board of Education was anxious that the building of a senior and junior school at Grove Hill should be proceeded with immediately.
