Model yachts representing five nations began racing on Fleetwood model yacht lake yesterday for the international championship, and crowds of spectators saw many exciting finishes.

Racing continues until to-morrow and yesterday ten rounds were sailed. There was a slight mishap to the Norwegian yacht. Herr Berge accidentally dropped his craft on to the concrete side of the lake. The keel was damaged, but repairs were carried out and racing resumed.
