All you need to know about new BBC Two documentary The Yorkshire Dales
What is it? In this three-part documentary series adventurer and explorer Paul Rose will visit some of the most popular spots in the Yorkshire Dales, as well as discovering some hidden gems.
When is it on? It starts on Saturday (May 18) at 7pm on BBC Two and will be available afterwards on BBC iPlayer.

Hide AdIs that our Yorkshire Dales? Yes, the Yorkshire Dales is Britain’s third biggest National Park and one of the most popular. More than 23,000 people live there and nearly five million come to visit every year.
So where will Paul Rose be visiting? In episode one Paul is in Wensleydale where his journey starts in Garsdale. He visits the picturesque village of Hawes, the magnificent Aysgarth Falls and the medieval Bolton Castle, before finishing up in the market town of Leyburn.
Anyone else? At Bolton Castle, Paul meets Tom Orde-Powlett, a man whose home is his actual castle! And in Aysgarth he has a close-up encounter with a family of beautiful Dales dormice.
Where will further episodes take us? Episodes two and three of The Yorkshire Dales will see Paul visit Swaledale and Wharfedale.
